David E. Hoedebecke 64, of Neoga, Illinois passed away Monday July 14, 2025 in the Sara Bush Lincoln Health Care Center in Mattoon, Illinois. He was born in Wisconsin the son of Floyd B. and Joan M. (Stuckey) Hoedebecke. David married Patricia K. Hardesty May 24, 2010 in Toledo, Illinois. He worked as a Carpet Layer and maintenance for apartment buildings. David was a Green Bay Packers Fan, enjoyed spending time with family, he loved his canine companion, “Izzy” and Mustang cars.
David is survived by his wife, Patti Hoedebecke of Neoga, Illinois; sons Jonas (Kara) Hoedebecke of Paxton, Illinois and Noah (Abigail) Hoedebecke of Charleston, Illinois; step son, John (Andrea) Ingrum of Arcola, Illinois; grandchildren, Cohen Hoedebecke, Liana Hoedebecke, Kyson Hoedebecke, Xoey Hoedebecke, Gia Hoedebecke, Gunnar Ingrum and Vanessa Ingrum; siblings, Kevin (Gail) Hoedebecke, of Effingham, Illinois, Vicki (Scott) Hampton of Neoga, Illinois, Scott (Lisa) Hoedebecke of Sigel, Illinois, Sheryl (Andrew) Kersey of Sigel, Illinois and Neil Hoedebecke of Effingham, Illinois; Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; twin daughters, Hilary and Tiffany and mother and father in law, Leo and Helen Hardesty; brother in law, Chris Long.
As per David’s wishes Cremation Rites will be accorded and there are no public services scheduled.
The Swengel – O’Dell Funeral Home in Neoga, Illinois is assisting the family with arrangements.
