Barbara S. Beck, 87, of St. Elmo, died at 11:57 a.m. Sunday, July 20, 2025 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at Noon on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at the St. Elmo Christian Church with Pastor Jim Quick officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, St. Elmo. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Memorials may be made to the St. Elmo Christian Church Kitchen Committee or Second Chance Animal Rescue. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Barbara was born on Saturday, January 29, 1938 in Newkirk, OK to Charles E. and Katie (Guest) Masters. She married Doyle E. Beck on October 3, 1954 in Corinth, MS. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2019. She was affiliated with the St. Elmo Christian Church and was a homemaker.
She is survived by: her son, Steve Beck of St. Elmo; daughters, Susan (Larry) Jennings of Vandalia and Crystal Beck of Bondville; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by son, Brad, her parents and 7 brothers and 4 sisters.
