Robert H. Behl, age 82 of Trowbridge, Illinois, passed away Saturday June 21, 2025 at Heartland Senior Living in Neoga, Illinois.
He was born May 28, 1943 in Trowbridge, Illinois, the son of Joseph and Margaret (Quinn) Behl. Mr. Behl served in the United States Air Force. Rob was a lifelong grain and livestock farmer, avid baseball fan, and very interested and involved in the church and community. He was a member of St Mary Of The Assumption Church in Neoga, Illinois, where he served as a long time board and committee member including St Patrick Cemetery, Honorary Life Member, past Grand Knight, Financial Secretary of St Mary Knights of Columbus, past supervisor and board member for the Big Spring Township, and served on the Shelby County Board.
He is survived by his sister Ruth Ellen, William R. “Bill”, Knierim of Lerna, Illinois; close friends and care takers, Don and Ellen Strohl of Neoga, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; sister in laws, Candice Behl and Mary Behl.
Rob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Behl, Richard “Dick” Behl; sister, Joan Hanfland; brother in law, Ed Hanfland; nephew, Scott Hanfland.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary Of The Assumption Church in Neoga, Illinois.
A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday June 24, 2025 in the St. Mary Of The Assumption Church in Neoga, Illinois. Visitation will be Tuesday June 24, 2025 from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM with a Knights Of Columbus Rosary at 10:45 AM also in the church. Burial will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery in Trowbridge, Illinois.
