Dianna May Hotze, 76, of Teutopolis, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, June 16, 2025 with a visitation before Mass from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Services are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, IL. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Forward Strides 4NF, Inc. or Teutopolis Educational Foundation. Online condolences may be shared at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.

Dianna was born on August 15, 1948, in Greenup, Illinois, the daughter of Mary (Haga) Bowers. She married Mark Hotze of Teutopolis, Illinois on October 25, 1969. Dianna was a homemaker, a newspaper carrier for the Effingham Daily News, and a bus driver for Teutopolis Unit #50. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, camping, attending the sporting events and activities of her grandchildren, crocheting, taking cruises, and traveling to new places. She held dear her lifelong friendships with her card club of more than 50 years. Most importantly, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished nothing more than the time she spent with them.

Dianna is survived by her husband, Mark of 55 years; their children, Melissa Erwin of Morton, Doug (Amy) Hotze of Sigel, Kathy (Troy) Bloemer of Teutopolis, Gail (David) Macer of St. Charles, MO, Holly (Blake) Lynch of Teutopolis, and Gina (Alex) Wilburn of Valley Park, MO; their grandchildren, Cole Erwin, Hannah (fiancé, Ryan Price) Erwin, Michael Erwin, Ethan Erwin, Tara (Andrew) Carrico, Erica (fiancé, Evan McDonald) Hotze, Kacie (Dane) Ruholl, Seth Hotze, Dylan (fiancée, Courtney Ruholl) Bloemer, Abby Bloemer, Caleb Bloemer, Owen Lynch, Mark Lynch, Leo Lynch, Deacon Lynch, Lexi Wilburn, and Daniel Wilburn; their great-grandchildren, Riley, Leah and Arlo Carrico; her in-laws, Sister Jane Marie Hotze, Ann Hotze, Mary (Bill) Witt, Joe (Andrea) Hotze, Beth Bastedo, Angie Hotze, and Karla (Allen) Schumacher; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Dianna was preceded in death by her mother, Mary; her grandmother, Nellie May Haga; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Grace Hotze; and in-laws, Jerry Hotze, Ruth and Joe Schmidt, Kay Hotze, Gene Bastedo, and Tom Hotze.
