Dennis Feldhake, age 46, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at his home.

Dennis was born on July 13, 1978, in Effingham, IL, the son of Michael and Darlene (Pruemer) Feldhake. Dennis married Susie Tucker on October 15, 2011, and she survives. They had a daughter, Jacie, and a son, Aidan Michael, both surviving.

He loved his family and is leaving a lasting impression. He became an Eagle Scout at the age of 14. He was the loudest in the stands for his kids’ sports events. Most often, he was keeping the score book. He chased creatures in his sister’s attic after a late-night call. He would fix your toilet, remodel a room, or make you a holiday meal. He would mow your grass or tend to your pets. He loved his job at Jansen Heating and Air and taking care of his family. Give the boy a tractor, and he was happy moving rock or planting his garden. Always eager to help his dad in the shop or do yard work. He had a goofy personality but was a rock for his wife. He supported her desire to care for pets and to have many chickens. Some would say he loved them more than she did. He has a turkey named Ethel. He was a man of many talents but had a bigger heart for anyone who needed it.

Dennis is survived by his wife of nearly 14 years, Susie Feldhake; daughter, Jacie Feldhake (friend, Ian Lucas); son, Aidan Michael Feldhake; parents, Michael and Darlene Feldhake of Teutopolis; sister, Lisa (Feldhake) Zumbahlen (friend, Brent Benefiel) of Newton; in-laws, Lori and Phil Claar of Effingham; sisters-in-law, Katie Miller of Effingham and Donna (Kyle) Davies of Mattoon; and brothers-in-law, David (Adrienne) Tucker of Santa Clarita, CA and Taylor (Hilary) Claar of Effingham. Dennis loved to torment all of his nieces and nephews, Kyle Zumbahlen, Tori Zumbahlen (fiancé, DJ Alzate), Evan Zumbahlen (friend, Camryn Martin), Stephen Andres, Wyatt Miller, Ethan Tucker, Wesley Tucker, Brodie Rentfro, Kendal Rentfro, Kalin Davies, Judah Claar, and August Claar.
