Carl Lester Manley, age 88, of St. Elmo, Illinois passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 at The Haven in St. Elmo.

Carl was born on November 13, 1936, the son of Carl Glen Manley and Elsee Rosalie Hoover. Carl had a great talent for woodworking, and he could fix anything. He loved old westerns, and would watch John Wayne movies all day if they would let him. He worked as a truck driver for years, and loved his time on the open road. He also had a strong love of his family, and spent time with them whenever he could.
Carl is survived by his son, Tom Manley (Debra) of Shirley, Illinois; daughters, Amber Manley of Brownstown, Illinois, and Kim Fender (Hal) of Vandalia, Illinois; sister, Linda Hagy (Gary) of Brownstown, Illinois; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery, parents, Carl Manley and Rosalie Manley, as well as his brother Larry, Randy, and Keith, and sister, Karen.
