Kenneth R. “Kenny” McCall age 86, of Newton passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025, at his home in the Villas of Hollybrook.

Funeral services celebrating Kenny’s life will be held at 12 noon, Monday, May 19, 2025, at the First Baptist Church, Newton with Pastor Anthony Harris officiating. Visitation will from 10:00 am until time of service, Monday May 19th at the church. Burial will be in the West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Newton, Illinois.

Kenny was born on September 2, 1938, in Newton, Illinois, the son of Roy “Hoot” and Myra (Harris) McCall. On March 23, 1958, Kenny married Connie Marie Woods in Mrs. Galbraith’s home in Newton. Kenny spent fifty years working in the auto parts business. He began his career at Webster Ford in Newton. He later worked for McClane Motor Sales, retiring after twenty-seven years of service. In his free, Kenny loved all things computers. He enjoyed assisting people with computer set-up and repairs. As a faithful member of the First Baptist Church, he maintained the church website and assisted with the computer needs of the church. He enjoyed baseball and was a loyal St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Kenny will be loved and remembered by his wife of sixty-seven years, Connie M. McCall of Newton; his children David Kyle (Trina) McCall of Macon and Lisa Rae Rickman of Lexington, TN; grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Kelly, Kaci, Taylor, Ashley, Dustin and Trent; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister Jane (Victor) Dulaney of Mattoon, IL.

His parents, son-in-law Terry Rickman, brothers, James, John, Vernon and Virgil McCall and sister Anna Mae Dressback preceded him in death.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
