 Chamber 2025 Scholarship Recognition Luncheon Set for June 6

The Effingham County Chamber will host its 2025 Scholarship Recognition Luncheon on Friday, June 6 at the Holiday Inn Effingham, celebrating 12 outstanding high school seniors and adult learners who have earned Chamber Foundation Scholarships. The luncheon will feature a short program recognizing each recipient, along with remarks highlighting the Chamber Foundation’s continued commitment to education and workforce development in the region.

This year’s recipients have demonstrated academic excellence, community involvement, and a strong dedication to continuing their education. Fields of study include healthcare, engineering, agriculture, and more—reflecting the diversity and ambition of tomorrow’s workforce.

  • Elle Hohenbary | Effingham | Murray State University – Communication Sciences & Disorders
  • Paul Huber | Teutopolis | Indiana State University – Civil Engineering
  • Addison Krouse | St. Anthony | Illinois Wesleyan – Nursing
  • Rachel Metcalf | Effingham | University of Illinois – Environmental Science
  • Sydney Nelson | Effingham | University of North Carolina-Wilmington – Biological Science
  • Harsh Patel | Effingham | University of Illinois – Aerospace Engineering
  • Maria Poston | former St. Anthony | SIU-Edwardsville – Biomedical, transferring to Dental School in Fall 2026
  • Grace Schumacher | former Teutopolis | Indiana State University – Occupational Therapy
  • Breanna Shull | former Dieterich | SIU-Carbondale – Agriculture Business
  • Sara Zumbahlen | Teutopolis | Eastern Illinois University – Nursing
  • Jack Graham Scholarship Recipient: Morgan Hagler | former Effingham | Missouri State University – Occupational Therapy

This annual scholarship program is made possible through the generous support of Koerner Distributor Inc., Siemer Milling Company, Agracel, Effingham Asphalt, and Nuxoll Photography.

The luncheon will take place on Friday, June 6 at the Holiday Inn Effingham. Tickets are $20 for Chamber members and recipient families, and $30 for non-members. Register online at EffinghamCountyChamber.com/events or call the Chamber office at (217) 342-4147.
