State Police say two passengers were transported to local hospitals for treatment of injury following a single-vehicle crash on I-57 three miles north of the Kinmundy exit late Saturday afternoon.
Preliminary information indicates the driver of a cargo van ran off the roadway to the left before overcorrecting and overturning in the right lane. The driver, who was not injured, was ticketed for improper lane usage, and passenger required to wear a seatbelt.
State Police have not released the names of those in the van. They report the investigation is ongoing.
Kinmundy-Alma Fire and Ambulance were called to the scene and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department stood by until a State Trooper arrived.
The crash was reported at 4:08 Saturday afternoon.
