A Watson resident was injured in a single-vehicle crash west of Effingham early Monday morning.
Effingham County Sheriff’s Office reported a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Alishia Brown was traveling west of Country Club Road at 3:10am. The vehicle was approaching 1350th Avenue when the unit missed a curve in the road. Deputies reported Brown’s vehicle drove straight through the curve and ran off the roadway into a field. The vehicle then failed to stop and struck a boat, which then struck a camper in the driveway at 9870 East 1350th Avenue.
Brown was evaluated by EMS for minor injuries, but she refused further treatment.
Deputies cited Brown for DUI Alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid the accident.
