The Effingham County 911 Board Tuesday approved the purchase of new console furniture for the County dispatching point.
The furniture from Xybix will replace the original furniture that has been in place since 911 went online in the 1990s.
The new furniture will cost $118,469.
The Board also approved StarCom fees on nine portable radios…six for the Effingham Fire Department, two for the Teutopolis Fire Protection District, and one for the City Emergency Management Agency.
