The Effingham City-County Enterprise Zone Board Tuesday reviewed projects approved in the zone this year.
There are incentives available for projects built in the Zone including lower property taxes and lower costs on construction materials.
Projects include Audiovisionz at Old Maple and Clark Avenue, a corporate headquarters for J&R Collision Centers on South Banker Street, Higgs Lifestyle, which is relocating from their downtown Effingham location, as well as residential properties including single-family residential structures, apartment buildings, and other projects.
15 jobs have been created due to the projects in the Zone, and more than $12 million in new construction.
Teutopolis Mayor David Repking was chosen chairman of the Enterprise Zone Board, while public member Luke Hayes was chosen vice-chairman.
