An investigation continues into a structure fire in Farina Sunday morning where two teenaged brothers were killed.
The call came at 9:33am. Fayette County Coroner David Harris said the fire claimed the lives of 19-year-old Brandon Fulk and 18-year-old Zachary Fulk. Harris pronounced both dead at the scene. Harris said a younger sibling was able to escape the burning home. An autopsy on both of those killed will be performed in Springfield Monday.
Those responders included firefighters from Farina, Altamont, Kinmundy-Alma, St. Peter, Edgewood Bi-County, St. Elmo, North Clay and Watson, along with Rural Med EMS, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, the Farina Police Department, and the Illinois State Fire Marshal’s Office.
