One of the many initiatives of Rotary International is improving literacy. On the local level, that involves support of educational instruction.
The Study Shoppe, located south of Effingham Junior High School, is expanding its offerings to help students learn. Noon Rotarian Bev Soltwedel worked with The Study Shoppe to help with the costs of their expansion. Soltwedel contacted the members of Effingham Noon Rotary as to what they could do to help. More than $8,400 has been raised from Rotarian contributions to benefit the business.
Members of Noon Rotary invited Study Shoppe representatives to a recent meeting to present the funds.
