Altamont city council members Monday approved a contract with Splechter Enterprises, the firm doing business as Feed the Crave Coffee and Roastery.
The firm plans to use conex containers as a permanent location for the business. Once the project is completed, the City will pay Splechter $5,800 in TIF dollars.
Also Monday, the Council awarded mowing bids. Precision Lawn Care will mow the cemetery and both Schmidt and Gilbert Parks, while Jon Berg Mowing will take care of downtown city properties and the sewer lagoons.
H&K Concrete Construction will be paid $24,675 for paving the concrete parking area at Schmidt Park at the former Dairy Bar location, while Kieffer Brothers Construction will be paid a change order of $24,864 for sidewalk and driveway changes along Main Street and a regular payment of $169,016.52 for water main installation.
