The Du Quoin State Fair is proud to announce that country star Russell Dickerson will take the Grandstand stage on Saturday, September 5, 2026, bringing his high-energy, feel-good country hits to one of Southern Illinois’ biggest summer traditions.
As a multi-Platinum headliner, Dickerson has spent the past decade carving out a unique space in country music. With an exponentially growing fan base and a reputation for electric live performances, he continues to build momentum with the release of his fourth studio album, Famous Back Home. Blending the heartfelt authenticity fans have always embraced with a fresh surge of raw, arena-ready energy, Famous Back Home captures Dickerson in full stride. The album reflects both the tender family man and the dynamic showman fans experience on stage night after night.
“When we’re building a lineup, we look for artists who translate their music into a truly great live experience,” said Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II. “Russell Dickerson delivers an energy on stage that makes him a great fit for a Saturday night at the fair.”
Dickerson’s impressive run includes six No. 1 singles: “Yours” (3X Platinum), “Blue Tacoma” (2X Platinum), “Every Little Thing” (Platinum), “Love You Like I Used To” (2X Platinum), “God Gave Me a Girl,” and “Happen To Me” (Platinum). His playful, 2X Platinum collaboration “She Likes It (with Jake Scott)” further cemented his reputation for upbeat, relatable storytelling, helping drive more than three billion career streams.
