(THE EHS WINTER GUARD FOLLOWING THEIR STATE CHAMPIONSHIP PERFORMANCE)
The EHS Winter Guard varsity and JV teams are the top-performing, award-winning groups in Illinois. They recently swept the competition and captured the 2026 state championship titles.
Competing in the Illinois Dance Team Association, the performers showcase lyrical, flag-based routines that combine precision, artistry and athleticism.
A Winter Guard Championship Celebration has been scheduled for 2pm Sunday in the Hearts Rock Cafe at EHS. The celebration will be open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.
Prior to the celebration, the teams will be taken on a fire truck procession. The procession will stage at the QT station on North 3rd Street at 1:45pm, then will proceed west on Jefferson Avenue and then south on Henrietta Street, then west on Grove Avenue to the high school.
