Altamont school board members and school officials huddled Saturday for their annual strategic planning session.
The Board heard from Mark Holland about transportation matters, Jared Stuckemeyer shared about technology, and Katie Lurkins and Jeni Aldrich on extra-curricular activities.
Also sharing were high school principal Peggy Bueker, grade school principal Kris Biggs, and superintendent Casey Adam. Bueker shared about graduation, proposed handbook changes, school improvement planning, and long-term building planning. Biggs shared about teacher assignments for next year, class sizes and building needs.
Adam discussed district building needs, including a grade school addition and parking lot needs at the high school. State budget concerns and curriculum committee recommendations were also discussed.
