Effingham County CEO students recently shared highlights from their year-long entrepreneurship program during a Sunrise Rotary Club meeting.
Students reflected on visits to local businesses including Y-Yard, Frost Buddy, Wiedman Cleaners, and Irwin Seating, along with lessons learned from guest speakers throughout the year. A consistent theme from their experience: communication is key to success.
The class also highlighted their annual business event, which featured a movie premiere, breakout sessions on AI, networking, marketing, and innovation, and keynote speaker Karen Wolters. In memory of Tony Siemer, the class sponsored tickets for 120 students from surrounding schools to attend.
The public is invited to attend the CEO Trade Show on April 22 from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at the Keller Convention Center, where students will showcase their individual businesses.
