Teutopolis village board members want more study on a No Knock for Solicitors Ordinance.
The ordinance has been referred to committee and will be discussed March 4 before coming back to the full village board.
The Board tabled several items, including approving a TIF application from the Teutopolis Park District, a quote from Dasenbrock Fence and Overhead Door for work around the sewage lagoon, and the purchase of a truck for the street department. The Board also decided against hiring a police officer at this time.
Board members approved a license agreement for an emergency siren project with J.B. Esker and Sons and the Village. Seasonal employees were hired including Aidan Niemerg, Michael Habing, Jake Probst, Nolan Schumacher and Craig Carr.
Village President David Repking also swore in newly-appointed member Rachel Collins to fill a vacancy on the Board.
