The Effingham Water Authority sold off two lots in Blue Point at this month’s meeting.

Both successful bids were submitted by Kevin Koney…for for $21,600, the other for $24,300. The bids were within 90% of the appraised value, so were acceptable.

The Board reviewed commercial leases and found that The Reel Marina is up for negotiation. Authority Chairman Rob Brown will contact them to schedule a meeting for the negotiation.

Tom Ryan of the Parks and Rec Committee showed the Board signage regarding the beach expansion. By the way, the Return of the Captain is scheduled for May 16. The Captain’s return is to be an annual event.

Also, the Water Authority’s attorney Kyle Boose reported that the Authority’s secretary Sue Verdeyen requested a signed contract with Wabash Communications and the status of the payments that are due. Wabash has responded that the contracts are in the mail.
