Effingham County Supervisor of Assessments Pam Braun said her office will be mailing the 2026 Homestead Exemption Renewals today. You will receive a renewal if you applied for or renewed exemptions in 2025.
A reminder that the Senior Freeze Household Qualifying Income increased to $75,000, so please double check your 2025 income before filing a renewal. Information on what is Household Income is on the renewal for your review. You will receive if you applied or renewed exemptions in 2025.
If you are turning 65 in 2026 or have not filed before for Senior Exemptions, please do so at the Assessor’s Office on the 4th floor of the Effingham County Office Building.
Exemption renewals mailed include Senior Homestead, Senior Freeze, Disabled Persons, Fraternal Organizations, Disabled Veterans and Lease Agreements.
