The GFWC Illinois Federation of Women’s Club has several different scholarships available on the state and district levels that are focused on a large variety of interests for students, including Vocational, Art, Education, Environment, Civic, Engagement, Drama, Music and Health. Nine $1500 state scholarships are available to current high school graduates, as well as adults who are planning to attend a college/university or training school in Illinois for the Fall 2026 semester. All ages of potential students must be an Illinois resident. The deadline for GFWC Illinois Scholarships is Monday, March 15, 2026. Recipients of the state scholarships will be notified by April 15th. Further information on the state scholarships and applications can be found at https://gfwcillinois.org/
The GFWC Illinois 23rd District Scholarship is limited to graduating high school seniors. The district deadline is Monday, March 1, 2026. Recipients will be notified by June 15th. Applicants must attend an Illinois college/university/community college/training school for the Fall 2026 semester. Scholarships will be judged on students’ goals, financial needs and background. To obtain guidelines and applications for any of these scholarships, high school seniors should contact a high school guidance counselor.
