Effingham Unit #40 school board members Wednesday took action on a variety of personnel matters.
Those hired were Anna Cobix as a second shift custodian at Central Grade School, Laura Gomez Rivera as a paraprofessional at East Side, Troy Welker as a swing shift custodian at the Early Learning Center and South Side, and Drew Deters as a junior high bass fishing coach for the current school year.
Changes in status were approved for Jack Harper and Jackson Lee as JV baseball coaches for the current school year.
Transfers were okayed for Peggy Manley as a six-hour cook at the high school and for Sara Deters as a seven-hour cook at South Side.
Resignations were accepted from Alexa Semple as a junior high and high volunteer track coach, Regina King as a six-hour cook at the high school, Adrien Fitzjarrald as a teacher’s assistant at Little Hearts, Jennifer Seachrist as Special Program Coordinator as of July, Halle Byous as a Math Interventionist at the end of the current school year, Vicki Hodge as a custodian at South Side, Jennifer Wudtke as a Math teacher at the high school as of August, and Deb Kirby as a four-hour cook at South Side.
The Board also accepted Allen Birch’s retirement as a bus driver in June.
