The Dan Hecht Chevrolet Toyota Team hosted a “Souper Luncheon” fundraiser at the Effingham dealership.

Employees made homemade soups and desserts and invited the public to join them for lunch and vote for their favorites, via a goodwill donation. From the fundraiser, $2,750 was donated to
Willow Breeze Hospice House at Sarah Bush Lincoln. The luncheon boasted 22 soups made by employees of the dealership and nearly that many desserts.

Judges included Sarah Bush Lincoln employees: Kim Uphoff, President and CEO; Brooke Zerrusen, Vice President of Practice Management; Amy Card, Foundation Director; and Jenn Roberts, Hospice Director.

“This was such a fun day, and we’re so appreciative of the Hecht Family and all of the employees and community who came together to raise funds for our Hospice House,” Zerrusen said. “We’re truly grateful for this donation that will benefit families served through Willow Breeze.”

Donations to Willow Breeze benefit the Hospice House Endowment, which helps families who can’t afford the room and board there. Most insurance companies pay for care in a hospice house, but not the actual stay. This gift will help many families who wish for their loved ones to spend their final days in this beautiful house.
