Dieterich Village Board members this week discussed grant funds at both the federal and state levels and how they could be obtained and then utilized.

State EPA funding could be available for a sewer main relining project, but Congressional funds are not as certain. Still, there was discussion about potential projects should become available.

There was also discussion of sidewalk replacement along  South Main Street as word is that the State does plan this year to resurface Main from Route 33 to Church Street. The sidewalk along the east side of the street is in bad shape, so replacing the sidewalk would make it match up with the street project.

The Board discussed a logo contest for the Dieterich 4th of July Celebration that would correspond with the 250th anniversary of the United States this year. There was also discussion of a TIF residential exterior improvement program, but no final decision has been reached.
