The National Weather Service continues with a Winter Storm Warning for the entire listening area, until 9:00 PM Sunday.

Heavy snow is expected.  Total snow accumulations will be between 5 and 10 inches, with 10 to 12 inches possible from I-70 south.

The Weather Service warns that travel could be very difficult.  Blowing and drifting snow is possible Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening with north winds gusting 20 to 25 mph.

They advise that if you must travel, to keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

In addition, a Cold Weather Advisory goes into effect from Midnight on Sunday Night, until Noon on Monday.  Very cold wind chills as low as 15 to 25 below zero are expected.  This could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.  The public is advised to wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
