The Effingham Sunrise Rotary Club recently welcomed Phil Hartke, who shared exciting news about the future of the Effingham County Fair—and it’s looking big! The Fair Board recently purchased Fair Meadows Farm from the Carl Becker family, adding a sprawling 60 acres designated for major fairground expansion.
Planned improvements include:
• Year-round camping
• An indoor arena
• Additional stables
• Expanded Thresherman crop area

Phil’s lifelong dedication to the Effingham County Fair and his enthusiasm for its next chapter were contagious. His presentation gave members a renewed sense of excitement for what’s ahead as the Fair continues to grow and evolve for future generations.
