Effingham city council members discussed at their last meeting an agreement for engineering services for improvements on Jaycee Avenue.
The work would extend from US Route 45 to Veterans Drive. The project scope would include engineering of street reconstruction including pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalks, storm sewer and the like.
Also discussed was a TIF housing redevelopment program for Barbara and Kevin Beals at 511 South 5th Street; bids on a tree pruning program related to the new urban forestry program; a new water rate study; and site plan requirements for pavement in commercial districts.
