One person was injured in a crash on Illinois Route 32 northwest of Effingham just after 6pm Sunday.
The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office reported the crash occurred just north of 2000th Avenue. A car driven by 25-year-old Samuel Golidano Gonzalez of Chicago was southbound on Route 32 when it left the roadway to the right. The car struck the ditch, causing it to overturn and land on the roof of the vehicle.
A passenger in the car, 21-year-old Maria Rangel of Effingham, was injured and was taken by Rural Med EMS to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
No citations were issued.
