Teutopolis village board members Wednesday finalized an agreement with Effingham County on the maintenance of Green Street.

The County will maintain the driving surface of Green Street while the village will maintain the remainder of the street. The agreement will cover the portion of Green Street headed north out of the village.

The Board also approved a TIF payout of $17,198.48 to Brumleve Properties for Designs Unlimited. Also agreed to was a dog grooming and doggy daycare facility at 400 West Main Street.

The Board approved a liquor license for Siegfried’s, a new restaurant in the village, but there was no action on an agreement with the Teutopolis Park District on locating a weather alert siren.

Board members voted to hire an office assistant, and voted to grant street department staffer Chris Schmidt a $3/hour pay raise. It was also approved to relocate a welcome sign on the east end of the village by Double D Signs for $4,600.
