Lake Land College trustees renewed health, dental and vision insurance with Aetna. The agreement includes a 15.34% medical premium increase.
Trustees also awarded a new fire alarm system for the Kluthe Center for just $40,000, and purchased an engine for the John Deere program for just over $71,000. Tables and chairs were purchased for a classroom at the Effingham Technology Center for just over $32,000, and voted to utilize ESS Clean of Urbana for janitorial services at the Technology Center but are seeking to hire someone fulltime for the work, so they are using ESS on a monthly basis.
