Altamont City Council members this week approved pay requests from Kieffer Brothers Construction for water main construction. One payment is for $367,000 while the other is for just under $129,000. Much of the work is along Main Street.
There are other projects, though. One is a $5,000 TIF payment to Bannister Properties for work on the former grocery store building at Main and Division; and another is a special use liquor license for a benefit for Heather Davis on October 26 at the Black Dog from noon to 10pm.
The Council established street signage at West Carriage Lane, West Wildcat Way, South B&O Road, and South Rocket Road; and approved a $25,000 payment to R&H Plumbing and Heating for the restroom install at Schmidt Park. The Council also agreed to advertise for bids for demolition of 600 South Main with bids due on October 23.
Altamont Council members amended the water capital infrastructure fee by 30 cents with the new amount reflected on January billing. The Council also renewed Blue Cross Blue Shield employee health insurance with Tingley Insurance with a 9% increase.
