A Dieterich woman was injured late Saturday night when her SUV collided with a deer on I-57 southbound, five miles north of the Salem interchange.
The SUV airbag deployed, but the Salem Fire Protection District says the driver did not need extrication. She was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment.
The crash happened just before midnight Saturday night. The woman’s name has not been released.
