Brownstown school board members approved the fiscal year budget at this week’s meeting.
The Board agreed to continued participation in the Mid-West Truckers Association Drug and Alcohol Consortium; approved a Risk Management Plan for the school year; and approved a health service agreement with Paula Gephart. A Resolution was approved to abate money from the Working Cash Fund to the Debt Services Fund; the Board hired Braun Plumbing to replace and update drinking fountains; and approved a letter of retirement from Tonja Stoecklin.
The Board approved resignations from Leanna Chandler as an elementary PE teacher and from Jacy Schaub as 5th and 6th grade basketball assistant coach. Two hirings were approved; Jordan Peternel as an elementary PE teacher and Dustin Sefton as a junior high girls basketball assistant coach.
