The almost year-long journey leading to a new Comprehensive Plan for Effingham is nearing an end.
City Planner Greg Koester shared with the Effingham City Plan Commission Tuesday that City staffers are wrapping up review of a draft plan. A workshop is penciled in for September 30 to go over the Plan with the City Council, Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals.
The new plan has been identified as the Effingham 2050 Comprehensive Plan.
In the only action Tuesday, Plan Commissioners approved 5-0 a tower use permit at 400 JCAN Drive just west of Hardee’s. The tower will be utilized by Verizon Wireless.
