Altamont school board members Monday filled two coaching positions.

Eric Kollman was named 8th grade basketball coach and Justin Goeckner was selected as 6th grade basketball coach.

The Board approved a leave for a staff member, and approved an agreement with OKAW Area Vocational Center for vocational education courses for next school year. The Board selected member Dale Laue to represent the Altamont district at the state meeting this fall.

Maintenance and Facilities Director Tayler Polk reported on major plumbing issues at the grade school, flag issues in the gym at the high school, and lights on the soccer field and at the baseball diamond.

Altamont Superintendent Casey Adam said the district curriculum committee established priorities for the coming fiscal year including high school Biology, Weight Training, and K-2 Phonics.

The Board also accepted the audit of the past fiscal year with a Total Profile Score of 3.9 out of a 4.0, qualifying the district for “recognition” status.
