Sentencing is set for October in a Cumberland County murder case.

60-year-old Lonnie Glidewell agreed to plead guilty to second degree murder in the August 2022 shooting death of 36-year-old Colten Oakley of Westfield. State police found Oakley dead outside a residence in Greenup.

Glidewell was charged with first degree murder and was held on $1 million bond. When bond was eliminated in Illinois, the Court ordered Glidewell to remain in custody.

On August 19th, Glidewell agreed to plead guilty to second degree murder in exchange for dismissal of the first degree murder count as well as dismissal of counts of felon in possession of a weapon. Prosecutors also agreed to a cap of 15 years in prison.

Glidewell is to be sentenced on October 29th.
