Adam Flack, Class of 2025, has been recognized as a National Merit Scholar, one of the nation’s most prestigious academic honors. Adam is the son of Mike and Julie Flack and a 2025 graduate of Effingham High School.
The National Merit Scholarship Program, established in 1955, recognizes high-achieving students across the United States who demonstrate exceptional academic ability, leadership, and potential for future success. Out of more than 1.3 million students who entered the program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), only about 7,500 are named National Merit Scholars each year.
EHS officials say Adam’s hard work, dedication, and commitment to academic excellence earned him this distinguished recognition. In addition to his academic achievements, Adam has been an active and engaged member of the Effingham High School community.
This fall, Adam is attending The University of Alabama, where he plans to major in mathematics . He has also been named a UA Blount Scholar, joining an elite interdisciplinary liberal arts program designed for exceptional students. The University of Alabama is a top destination for National Merit Scholars, offering strong academic programs and scholarship support.
Effingham High School congratulates Adam on this remarkable achievement and wishes him continued success in his academic and personal pursuits.
