Due to the recent passing of Effingham resident Ron Worman, a planned benefit for Ron has been changed to a celebration.
The Celebration of Life and Benefit for Ron Worman will take place on Sunday, September 7th at the Effingham Event Center on West Fayette in Effingham.
A bake sale is scheduled from 12 noon to 5pm. Baked goods may be dropped off at the Event Center on September 7th from 10am to noon for free-will donations.
A silent auction is scheduled from 12 noon to 3:45pm. Contact Ruth Rhodes at 217-254-9178 or Katie Duncan at 217-821-3341 by September 5th to donate auction items.
There will be music and karaoke by Danny Shelton.
Food will be available from Kirby Foods from 12 noon until it’s gone. Either drive-up or dine in for free-will donations. On the menu–porkburgers, hamburgers, hot dogs and chips.
There will be a raffle and a 50/50 drawing throughout the day.
All proceeds will help with Ron’s medical and miscellaneous expenses.
