Cumberland school board members have ratified a two-year contract with district support staff members.
The agreement with the Cumberland Education Support Personnel Association covers the current school year and the following year.
In personnel moves, the Cumberland board employed David Johnson as a school bus driver; extended Angie McElravy’s contract by 20 days; accepted a letter of resignation from Kari Shoemaker effective August 31st; and moved Sherry Parker’s salary to $30.73/hour retroactive to August 1st.
High school principal Daniel Huffman thanked Shoe Tree Incorporated for coordinating the shoe program for the school year. Huffman said students were excited to receive new shoes and several pairs of socks on the first day of school.
