One driver was taken for treatment following a crash Sunday afternoon northwest of Effingham.
Effingham County Sheriff’s Office reported a crash occurred at 3:55pm at the intersection of Illinois Route 33 and 225th Street in Liberty Township. Deputies report a pickup truck driven by 36-year-old Craig Anderson of Beecher City was yielding for a stopped school bus. A car driven by 73-year-old Gerald Potter of Milton, Florida struck Anderson’s vehicle from behind.
Potter was injured in the collision, and was transferred by Rural Med EMS to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
