Dieterich school board members heard at this month’s meeting that enrollment for the new school year is 629. That’s exactly the same enrollment as for the past school year.
The Board accepted the resignation of elementary teacher Peyton Wright, but hired elementary teacher Jessica Niemerg and Shawn Lotz as assistant junior high boys basketball coach, as well as an unpaid leave of absence for support staff employee Nicole Bishop through the end of the calendar year.
Board members discussed a community survey to be distributed to all Dieterich Schools stakeholders in the upcoming months, and reviewed options for a facility project that would include a new roof on the junior high and cafeteria portions of the building, as well as the feasibility of adding solar panels when replacing the roof.
