Effingham County 911 Board members Tuesday heard that work to repaint the communication tower outside the sheriff’s office has about been completed.
Painting got underway this past weekend, and is done except for some touch-up work. There was also discussion about changing the activation method for triggering the weather warning sirens located around the county. Chris Overbeck of GTS will check on the cost of making the switch.
911 board members also decided to get quotes on reinvesting CDs about to come up for renewal. There was also discussion about renewal rates for liability insurance coverage.
