The 2024 real estate tax bills due and payable in 2025 are being mailed today, August 1, 2025 by the Effingham County Treasurer’s Office.
The due date for the first installment is Friday, September 5th and the second installment is Friday, October 17th.
Payment options are as follows:
–Paid at most of the banks in the county
–Payment mailed to the Treasurer’s Office
–Paid in person at the Treasurer’s Office
–Paid online at effinghamcountyil.gov/treasurer. A credit card convenience fee will be added for payments made with a credit/debit card or e-check.
Effingham County Treasurer’s Office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
The total number of bills mailed is 26,066.
The total amount of taxes extended for all taxing districts for the 2024 payable in 2025 tax year is $74,509,114.88.
