Three different crashes, all involving injuries, occurred Thursday evening east of Montrose.
The crashes occurred on I-70 Eastbound in a three-mile stretch where a construction zone is located.
At 3:49pm, a motorcycle crashed at Mile Post 110. The driver of the motorcycle was taken for treatment.
At 4:31pm, three vehicles crashed at Mile Post 111. State police reported a minivan was stopped in the left lane, entering the construction zone. A pickup truck was stopped behind the minivan. A car struck the pickup truck from behind, causing the pickup to rear-end the minivan. Two people were transported to the hospital for treatment. The left lane was closed at approximately 4:40pm and reopened at 5:25pm.
At 6:17pm, two semis collided at Mile Post 107, about two miles east of Montrose. One person was transported to the hospital with injuries. Both lanes were blocked at approximately 6:35pm with traffic diverted a mile east of the crash scene. The roadway was closed until this morning.
