North Clay school board members have approved a new season pass policy for the new gym facility in Louisville.

Athletic Director Rich Grubaugh presented the proposed policy regarding season passes related to the new seat back chairs in the new gym. The policy would provide gym sponsors in the Cardinal and Game Day Levels Sponsorships first opportunity to purchase a limited number of seats. The Gym Naming Sponsor and Legend Level Sponsors already have seats per their sponsorship agreement. Remaining available seats would then be offered to the community through a lottery system.

Season passes for the seat back chairs in the new gym will be sold in bundles of two for a total of $450. If there are remaining seats after the lottery system, the price will be $10 per seat per game for the seat back chairs purchased at the gate on game days. Further details and information regarding the seat back chair policy and lottery will be released soon.

Bleacher seating season passes will remain the same price of $100 for a family or $35 for an individual.

The Board also:

–approved pay rates for those who assist in the game day operations, such as scorekeepers and clock keepers

–approved seeking bids on a two-level structure to include restrooms, concessions and broadcasting space

–approved continuing a co-op agreement with the Clay City school district for high school volleyball

–Superintendent Keith Price updated the Board on projects including oil and chipping the parking lot and drives and the proposed addition of electrical panels for the high school welding shop and bus barn. Quotes are being gathered and reviewed. Wabash Telecommunications is currently installing a new phone system for all classrooms and offices across the North Clay campus. The project is slated to be completed this summer

In personnel moves, the North Clay board hired Michele Ruesken as a full-time certified district librarian, hired Bailey Burdine and Cameron Stone as fulltime subs, hired Alan Lucas as a fulltime bus driver, hired DeAnn Hronec as a part-time bus driver, accepted the letter of resignation from Larry Barbee as a fulltime bus driver, hired Jenna Kessler as a fulltime paraprofessional, approved Trae Gressel as a volunteer junior high school assistant baseball coach, and authorized the administration to full vacancies.
