Nonfarm payroll totals in Illinois reached a record high in June, increasing by 9,400.
June’s record payroll job total surpassed the previous record high set in March.
Industry sectors with over-the-month job increases included Government and Private Education and Health Services. Decreases were seen in Leisure and Hospitality, Manufacturing, and Professional and Business Services.
Compared to a year ago, total nonfarm payroll jobs increased by 35,000 jobs.
