 Shelby County Board Finalizes Salaries for County Elected Officials

Shelby County Board members approved increases in the salaries of the state’s attorney, public defender and sheriff for the coming term.

Under the increases instituted by the State, the State’s Attorney salary goes to $169,865.81, the Public Defender’s salary goes to $152,879.23, and the Sheriff’s salary goes to $135,892.65. The salary increases are retroactive to July 1st.

The Board agreed to share the $8,764 cost of replacing pipe, with the cost to be shared by the County and by Clarksburg Township. Also, it was agreed to declare a mower for Animal Control, and a 1981 International for the Rescue Squad.

Board members also approved Shawn Conlin to the Shelby County 708 Board.
