Infrastructure projects were okayed Monday by the Altamont City Council.

The Council approved two payments on the water main replacement project. The two payments total close to half a million dollars.

Council members also approved a 25-year extension of a wireline crossing agreement with CSX Transportation for $6,750.

The Council approved a special use liquor license for September 13th, the date for the 19th Annual Dr. Charles M. Wright Wine, Beer and Music Event. There’s an addition to this year’s event; the Altamont Sports Boosters will have food available.

Also, Altamont City Clerk Sarah Stephen announced the fiscal year appropriations ordinance, totaling $9,288,651. A vote on the ordinance could come at the next Council meeting.
